The first ever, Concours on the Avenue was held at Carmel-by-the-Sea, California in August of 2007. This event was 6 years in the making. Through the efforts of Atlanta-based Doug Freeman and his wife, this event was a total success. The show featured 18 classes of vehicles, totaling 135 cars and motorcycles from 1946-1971.
Two of the cars that really impressed us were the 1946 Ford Woodie Wagon and the 1953 MGA-TD. To say that these cars are immaculate is the understatement of the year.
The 1946 Ford Woodie took home the Silver in the 40's American Family Favorites Group, and was definitely a crowd favorite. The custom surfboard and carrier are a great finishing touch!
By the way, the owner of the Woodie uses our Blackfire products to detail this car!
The 1953 MG is absolutely beautiful. We love the luggage rack on the back. This car looks as though it should be driving down a winding English road.
